Lisa Kirsch Satawa is an emerging leader in the Michigan criminal defense bar, particularly in the defense of juvenile offenders, and in representing adults and juveniles charged with criminal child abuse or neglect.

Her knowledge of the law and understanding of evidentiary considerations in child abuse and welfare cases led to her selection by the Michigan Department of Human Services to train their Child Protection Unit in the investigation of child abuse and neglect cases. Having studied economics and finance as an undergraduate at Boston University, prior to her first career as a licensed stockbroker, Lisa Kirsch Satawa is also effective in the defense of white-collar crime charges, especially those involving complex financial or accounting evidence. She is a 1994 graduate of the Detroit College of Law and has practiced as a criminal trial lawyer ever since.

Mark A. Satawa focuses on the defense of adult offenders in both state and federal courts, especially those charged with serious sex crimes, major state or federal drugs or narcotics offenses, and complex federal financial crimes . He is currentlly a member of the board of directors of both the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and  the Criminal Defense Attorneys of Michigan, and he has lectured to professional audiences on the use of DNA evidence, the defense of Michigan criminal sexual conduct cases, and advanced trial practice techniques.

He graduated with distinction in economics and finance from the University of Michigan, and is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Notre Dame Law School. Prior to establishing his own practice, he served as an assistant Wayne County Prosecutor and with the Michigan State Attorney General's Office, where he prosecuted tax fraud cases.
